 今後の予定の候補として挙がっている題材を列挙していきます(随時更新).

1. 歴史学と社会理論 - バークの作品

 科学史に限定せず広く歴史学一般の方法論を学ぶために、今年になって邦訳が刊行されたバークの『文化史とは何か』と、同じく今年に改訂版邦訳が出版された同著者による『歴史学と社会理論』を取り上げる企画です。

 前者の『文化史とは何か』は、『史学雑誌』118編第5号、「2008年の歴史学界 回顧と展望」では次のように評価されています。

バークの著作は、一言で言えば20世紀後半の歴史叙述・歴史理論への見事なまでのサーヴェイであって、極論をすればこの一冊だけで歴史叙述・歴史理論にまつわる現在的な問題はほぼ理解できると評価してもよいものである。文化史(文化論的転回)的なアプローチの流れを基軸として歴史研究の今後の方向性を論じたものとして、歴史研究者には必読の著作だろう。(岡本充弘、9-10頁)
